Product Description

Product Description
UAN  Solution is a nitrogen fertilizer solution composed of urea and ammonium nitrate.
Liquid Fertilizer Urea Ammonium Nitrate
UAN Solution  can be used on just about all crops. It is widely used for side-dressing cotton,  vegetables, corn, beets and other crops. Sprinkler applied UAN 32% Solution is used for tree crops such as almonds, for cereal grains, potatoes and for manyother crops.

The  nitrogen in soil applied UAN 32% Solution is rapidly available to plants. The nitrate portion (one-quarter of the total N) is immediately available as soon as it reaches the root zone. The urea portion (one-half of the total N) moves freely with the soil water until it is hydrolyzed by the urea enzyme forming ammoniacal  nitrogen. After the hydrolysis of urea three-quarters of the total nitrogen is ammoniacal  nitrogen and it is held to the clay particles in the soil and not subject to leaching. This ammoniacal  nitrogen is available to plants. Ammoniacal  nitrogen is converted to nitrate by soil organisms, usually within a few weeks after application.

UAN-Urea Ammonium Nitrate Solution Application
1.Solutions of UAN are widely used as a source of N for plant nutrition. The NO3 portion (25% of the total N) is immediately available for plant uptake. The NH4 +fraction (25% of the total N) can also be assimilated directly by most plants, but is rapidly oxidized by soil bacteria to form NO3-.The remaining urea portion (50% of the total N) is hydrolyzed by soil enzymes to form NH4+, which is subsequently transformed to NO3 in most soil conditions.
2.Solutions of UAN are extremely versatile as a source of plant nutrition. Due to its chemical properties, UAN is compatible with many other nutrients and agricultural chemicals, and is frequently mixed with solutions containing P, K, and other essential plant nutrients. Fluid fertilizers can be blended to precisely meet the specific needs of a soil or crop.
3.UAN solutions are commonly injected into the soil beneath the surface, sprayed onto the soil surface, dribbled as a band onto the surface, added to irrigation water, or sprayed onto plant leaves as a source of foliar nutrition. However, UAN may damage foliage if sprayed directly on some plants, so dilution with water may be needed.
4.UAN solution, produced by combining urea, nitric acid, and ammonia, is a liquid fertilizer product with a nitrogen content that typically ranges from 28 percent to 32 percent. UAN can be applied more uniformly than non-liquid forms of fertilizer. It can be mixed with herbicides, pesticides, and other nutrients, permitting farmers to reduce costs by applying several materials simultaneously rather than making several separate applications.

Storage Conditions
Store in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated place. Keep in fireproof place. Store locked up. Store away from oxidizers, combustible materials, and all ignition sources. Protect container(s) against corrosion, physical damage, and extreme temperatures. Detached outside storage is preferable. May be corrosive to some metals.
