Production methods:
In the wet method, potassium bisulfate was prepared into an aqueous solution of 45° Be and added into the reactor. Sulfur dioxide was injected at 80 ° C for the reaction, so that the solution concentration reached 41 ~ 42° Be. Arsenic remover and heavy metal remover were added to purify and filter the solution, and the filtrate was cooled. Crystallization is carried out below 20ºC. After centrifugation and drying, edible potassium metabisulfite was prepared. The edible grade potassium bisulfite was heated and dehydrated by the potassium bisulfite method to prepare the edible potassium metabisulfite product, its 2KHSO3→K2S2O5+H2O

Product Application

1. Use as a food bleach, preservative and antioxidant. Long-term consumption of excessive sulfur dioxide food, will cause serious damage to the body, and may even cause cancer.
2. Used as analytical reagent. It is also used as a developing agent, reducing agent and bacterial inhibitor.
3. Potassium metabisulfite is used as an additive in thiosulfate silver plating, and its sodium salt is also used in the treatment of chromium-containing wastewater.
